Female Slow Mutant

For my A-level art project I decided to do another adaptation of Stephen King's 'Slow Mutant', this time using a female subject instead of male. This character was mostly prosthetic based, in comparison to the male who was mostly a paint job and extras like hair, teeth, boils. I personally think this one turned out a lot better as it uses a more professional technique and is more interesting to look at, but in terms of looking like a mutant, the male definitely hit the nail on the head, as this one is often seen as a lizard lady instead of a slow mutant.

Take a look through the photos below, each picture has an in depth description of what is happening for each step!

  • Step 1
  • Silicone mold
  • Application
  • Process
  • Red eyes - sideways
  • Red eyes - forward
